Overview

Yi Feng Restaurant - Bukit Tinggi 2 brings a fresh wave of Chinese culinary delights to the bustling neighborhood of Bandar Bukit Tinggi in Klang. Situated conveniently on Lorong Batu Nilam 21B, this eatery offers a blend of classic and modern flavors, catering especially to fans of hearty Hainanese and local Malaysian-Chinese fare. The restaurant's decor is cosy and air-conditioned, creating a comfortable setting suitable for both casual diners and small groups seeking an inviting meal.

The menu showcases an impressive variety, with standout offerings such as their rendition of nasi lemak featuring chicken rendang or crispy spiced fried chicken. Diners can expect authentic yet balanced tastes, though some have noted the coconut rice could pack a stronger santan aroma to fully elevate the experience. Their curry laksa varieties, including options with poached chicken or BBQ pork, offer a rich, creamy broth that carries both spice and warmth—perfect for those who enjoy more robust flavors.

Beyond rice dishes and noodles, Yi Feng impresses with comforting porridge options like salted egg pork porridge and silky poached chicken porridge. These dishes reflect a home-style quality—nourishing and satisfying without unnecessary complexity. The chee cheong fun, drenched in a sweet-savory red sauce, delivers soft texture with addictive flavor, a good representation of traditional Cantonese rice rolls.

Yi Feng’s roast pork and char siu receive particular praise for their well-balanced fat and lean portions, tender textures, and flavorful marinades, standing out as crowd favorites that complement many meal choices. The pork dishes lean more toward a Chinese palate, favoring a milder but rich flavor profile rather than overt spiciness.

The beverage selection aligns well with the food, with highlights including salted milk tea and salted kopi ping, which have been described as addictive and neat in presentation. Their cold cham is appreciated for refreshment and balanced sweetness—ideal for the tropical climate of Selangor.

While the restaurant serves generous portions with appealing presentation, some diners feel the pricing leans towards the higher side, especially given the mandatory service and government taxes. Nevertheless, many find value in the quality and variety offered. The communal atmosphere combined with a menu designed for those who appreciate comforting, well-executed Chinese-Malaysian cuisine makes Yi Feng a strong contender among Klang’s dining options.

In summary, Yi Feng Restaurant - Bukit Tinggi 2 offers a solid blend of familiar favorites and thoughtful twists, housed in a welcoming and well-appointed space. It targets local diners seeking hearty, authentic flavors with a touch of refinement. Whether you come for the savory porridge or the richly spiced laksa, the overall experience is sure to satisfy those who enjoy homestyle Chinese cooking with a contemporary flair.

A fairly new restaurant in the neighbourhood. Comfortable air-cond seatings. We ordered two dishes. The claypot lou she fun tastes mediocre. Ingredients quite alot, with egg. Portion is decent. The nasi lemak with pork rendang is below my expectation. Rice is ‘biasa’, not nasi lemak as it lacks the santan flavour. Pork rendang doesn’t suit my taste whereas the sambal is okay. Not worth it and quite pricey! The cold Cham drinks is good. Cukup ‘kau’ Overall, the pricing of some dishes is quite high. There is a tax of 10%+ 6%.

Portion for all the foods that we ordered were big especially big breakfast Pork rendang wantan mee - sweet curry without a hint of spicy. Would prefer spicier. Noodles abit too soft. Poach chicken — soft n tender eventhough it’s breast meat Roast pork - thin skin ok crispiness , some of the cuts too fatty . Nxt time should remarks ask for leaner cut Char siu- even ratio fats n lean. Surprisingly good for a cafe standard. Pls maintain this standard ya Soup wanton - size definitely bigger than yitcha…. Can taste the meat unlike other places …. Wanton skin only Big breakfast - smoked ham were very salty. The rest were ok Will revisit again to try other dishes

Curry taste is nice as its flavour is quite heavy and thick, the roast pork and char siew portion is great and taste good and flavourful with good portion of lean and fat meat. The dry curry pork noodle also flavourful and noodles goes well with the gravy. Salted milk tea also not bad.

A new cafe which provides good varieties of choices in the menu. I think the menu is quite hainamese, interesting choices. We ordered pork rendang nasi lemak, curry mee, chicken chop, pork chop. Remarks: 1) the portion is generous, and the food presentation is good and appetising. 2) the nasi lemak lacks coconut milk fragrance. More or thicker coconut milk would be perfect. The rendang taste good, more suitable for Chinese palate. Not spicy. 3) curry mee is tasty. The flavour of the broth is just nice. 4) chicken chop and pork chop are served with gravy. Large and satisfying 5) ordered their TEH ice..not the best but generally above average 6) 10 percent service charge and 6 percent government tax Overall this is a cosy and well furnished cafe.
